Bronze Up For Summer!

I can't believe it ..summer is pretty much here, but if you're like me and have spent very little time in the 'Spring' sun, then it's time we discussed the pre-Summer Bronze!

The pre-Summer glow is all about feeling like a bronzed goddess by getting that faux glow, before laying out in the hot summer sun.

Here's a few of my TIPS and the PRODUCTS that help you get the look:
* To avoid getting the orange look or just going over the top, you need to think about what your tan in levels. Determine what level your skin is at right now, and where you want to be. To achieve a natural looking tan you shouldn't go up more than 2/3 levels.
* If you want an all over bronzing there are two products that I love:
-Jergens Natural Glow (a lotion that goes on clear and gives you a gradual tan. Check that the product says the level you are at right now, NOT the one you want to be at!)
-Tan Towels (Wipes that you wipe over every inch of your body, to avoid a patchy look, start on the part of the body you want the most tanned. When buying the product you have the option to buy full body or half body towels)
Both these products are reasonably priced and last a while if used correctly!
* If you want to bronze up your face, for the most natural finish, use a matte-finish bronzer for the day and leave the shimmer for night. Apply the matte bronzer to places the sun would normally hit your face (top of your forehead, down your nose, and across your cheeks)
* Make sure to keep the rest of your make-up warm to keep your glow more consistent (warm gold and golden brown eyeshadows, peach blush and clear, nude, golden glosses!) Bobbi Brown has some amazing colors!!

What bronzers do you like? Do you prefer cream or powder bronzer?

Best Dresses From The Best Events of The Season!

I love this time of year, with amazing events such as The Met Gala, and The Cannes Film Festival, its such an exciting time for the Fashion Industry, wondering who will wear who!

Celebrities and their stylist's are busy months prior getting together everything they need to look amazing at these events, targeting to get on the 'Best Dressed' list and try avoiding the raft of Joan Rivers on The Fashion Police!

The Met Gala is an annual ball that celebrates the opening of the Metropolitan Museum's fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute. This red-carpet event is a chance for celebrities and fashion lovers to dress like they typically wouldn't at any other event. I would expect them to go all out for this ball and dress like a piece of art.
I think for women going to The Met Gala, they should pick a Statement Dress, long or short this dress needs to stand out!
Some of my favorite dresses were:
-Diane Kruger- (purple Prada gown) I am in LOVE with this dress!! it's girly with a hint drama around the edge with the feathers, combined with delicate jewelry and small clutch.. Stunning!!
-Emma Stone- (red Lanvin dress) the shape and detail in this dress makes her look like a piece of art. I loved that she kept it simple with black heels and head piece. Even though Emma's end to the evening wasn't so great, when her dress ripped in the back, she came prepared with Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz on hand who got her to cover up with a maroon patent coat as she headed to the after parties.
-Eva Mendes- (orange Prada gown) even though I'm not completely sold on the detail on the top part of the dress, the shape and color of this dress looks phenomenal on Eva!
-Katherine McPhee- (orange Elie Saab gown) orange is very popular this season and like Eva, Katherine decides to sport this color and does so, so well. Her figure looks AMAZING in this dress.. Beautiful choice Katherine!
-Karolina Kurkova- (custom gold sequin Rachel Zoe) this dress is something I expect at the Met Gala! Make a statement and look like piece of art or in Karolina's case, an Oscar! At any other event I would think the headpiece would have been too much, and the dress alone would have been enough, but Rachel Zoe knows what she's doing, and did an amazing job dressing Karolina.
-Scarlette Johansen- (gold Dolce and Gabbana mermaid gown) Scarlette looks stunning! The simplicity of her hair and makeup, is a perfect choice to show off this gown and how well she carries it!
-Gisele Bundchen- (black studded Givenchy gown) this is an example of an already stunning gown because of its shape and neckline but the studs and sequins just make it perfect for this event!
-Amber Heard (burnt pink Zac Posen Gown) Amber looks fantastic. This was a great great choice! The lines and sculpture of the dress so off her amazing figure, and having the amazing designer on her arm was the perfect accessory!
-Victoria Justice (floral and lace Alexander McQueen) for her first Met Gala this dress is perfect. I love the detail with the flowers and matched with the black lace sleeves is just breath-taking design. Keeping her hair straight and smooth was definitely the best choice, her dress already has a lot going on that anything else would just take away from the dress.

Cristalliste .. The Best Kept Secret For Long Hair

The brilliant French line Kerastase brought out their new line 'Cristalliste' a couple months ago, and the long-haired ladies have LOVED it ever since!! This line is directed towards women with longer hair (natural or extensions) to leave your hair with the 3 S's SOFT, SILKY and SHINY!

The line consists of two shampoos (one for fine hair, and one for thick) ,a conditioner and a serum.

The shampoos are AMAZING as they cater to your hair thickness AND they're able to achieve what other shampoos can't.. CONDITION your ends whilst CLEANSING your roots! Sometimes shampoos can leave our hair feeling dry but with Bain Cristal you won't have that problem anymore!

Lait Cristal (the conditioner), complements what the shampoo does for your hair to leave it feeling so silky and smooth!

Finish your CRISTALLISTE look with Lumiere Liquid, the shine serum that not only adds a great amount of shine but makes your hair feel incredibly soft!! This product is to be handled lightly.. A little goes a long way. Apply it to dry and styled hair, mid-lengths to ends. (REMEMBER: this is a serum so don't apply directly to roots, to avoid a greasy look!)

Keep in mind Kerastase can be expensive but there's a reason behind it... You see RESULTS!

If you've tried these products or have any questions let me know!!

Look for the CRISTALLISTE line only in salons that sell Kerastase.

BA-NA-NAS For Zoe!!

I have followed Rachel Zoe's career for awhile now (well before 'The Rachel Zoe Project' started), she has always been a huge career influence for me. So of course when she decided to branch out into designing a couple years ago, I was sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for her collection to come out... And when it did I was instantly OBSESSED!!

One of my favorite things about fashion is the inspiration behind it. I love looking at designer's look books, and Rachel Zoe's was one of my favorites this Spring! http://www.thezoereport.com/collection/

This season Rachel's palette stayed pretty much netural with some splashes of primary colors. I definitely think going simple with the colors this season was a great decision for her as the garments excel by the design and lines themselves! I love her fabrics choices. Her use of sheer fabrics and lace are GORGEUS!! Some of my favorite pieces from this line include; the blue, belted jumpsuit, the black lace sleeve-less shirt, and of course her Maxi Dresses are to die for!!

I can't wait to see what else she has to come! I will be staying tuned and I will share with you some more of my favorite Rachel Zoe updates!
